Havana has been named to the International Literacy Association’s 30 Under 30 list celebrating the rising innovators, disruptors, and visionaries in the literacy field.
Meet Havana Chapman-Edwards
Havana Chapman-Edwards is a 11-year-old United States diplomat living in Frankfurt, Germany with her family. She is a passionate community organizer, philanthropist, public speaker, and humanitarian as well as an actor and model.
She is the founder and Executive Director of Girls Have Rights which is a youth-powered global non-profit providing education through diplomacy to eliminate barriers so girls have access to their basic human rights.
She started a book club with her children’s choir called Rhymers are Readers #37books and from 2018-2019, she has raised over $40,000 for girl’s education around the world. This includes books, school supplies, toiletries, transportation and clothing. She designed the “Unstoppable” clothing line where all proceeds go to her non-profit.
